2021 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®)

The 2021 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) provides the latest plumbing industry requirements and practices for designing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting safe and sanitary plumbing systems. Developed through the ANSI Consensus process and designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the 2021 UPC incorporates contributions from consumers, code officials, installers, manufacturers, labor representatives, testing laboratories, researchers, and other plumbing industry professionals.

The 2021 Uniform Plumbing Code is designed to help ensure safe, sanitary, and reliable plumbing systems while providing flexibility for innovation and the adoption of new plumbing technologies.
